Create Now’s mission is to empower youth and young adults from ages 3 to 24 through a variety of arts programs in multiple disciplines that help them to heal and thrive. Our goal is to assist them to get out of poverty and learn skills that can lead to jobs and careers. Why the Arts? While most of the high-risk and at-risk youth we serve may struggle with their academics, many excel in the arts. Studies prove that arts can be therapeutic and the most effective treatment to reduce symptoms of PTSD and can also be a very educational tool. Create Now’s art programs and events provide essential opportunities that can change our youths lives by building their confidence and self-esteem. Our programs also help them to develop skills that can lead to positive jobs and careers.
